*HON. SODADE APPOINTS BARR. HAKEEM OLAWALE ASIRU AS SECRETARY

Today, Friday 17th January 2025, the Executive Chairman of Remo North Local Government, Hon. Muyiwa Sodade has announced the appointment of Barr. Hakeem Olawale Asiru as the Secretary to the Local Government. An exalted position that requires an illustrilous, experienced, committed, and dedicated person to occupy. He said Barr. Hakeem comes highly recommended for the position with his administrative experience and passion for the growth and development of our dear Remo North. 

Barrister Hakeem Olawale Asiru was born the late 70s into the family of Ahaji Yusuf Adegboye Asiru and Alhaja Adijat Olufunmilayo Asiru of Ipara-Remo, Remo North Local Government area of Ogun State.

Prior to the appointment, Barr. Hakeem Olawale Asiru has aspired for the House of Assembly and Remo North Local Government Chairmanship position. 

Haykay, as he's fondly called, had all his education in his home state - Ogun State.

Haykay is an avid learner, Barrister Hakeem Asiru holds a Diploma in Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State and bagged a Bachelors of Law (LL.B), from Olabisi Onabanjo University, also in Ogun State. 

Following the completion of his degree at OOU and one year mandatory Law School programme, he was called to the Bar, after which he proceeded to Dundee for his Masters of Law (LL.M) degree in International Commercial Law from University of Dundee, United Kingdom.

Hakeem Asiru has long been in the political landscape in Remo North since the era of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD) which became Action Congress (AC) and later Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). His party after merging with two other parties metamorphosed into All Progressives Congress (APC).

He is a bonafide member of All Progressives Congress (APC), ward 7 of Ipara-Remo, Ogun State.

His interests include youth advocacy and community development. He is a dedicated, patrotic, selfless, and committed administrator
