Senators May Not See 2025 Budget Before Approval, Says Adeyanju

A popular activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju has raised concerns that some senators may not have access to the 2025 budget before it’s passed into law.

In a post on social media, Adeyanju said five senators revealed they never saw the previous budget despite repeated requests, only to have it passed swiftly.

“This is how low we have descended as a nation,” Adeyanju added.

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly, tagged “The Restoration Budget: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity.”

The proposed budget allocates significant funds to key sectors, with Defence and Security receiving N4.91 trillion, Infrastructure N4.06 trillion, Education N3.52 trillion, and Health N2.48 trillion.
