REMO DAY 2024: ADEBUTU COMMENDS AKARIGBO AND PARAMOUNT RULER OF REMOLAND

The Balogun of Remoland, Sir (Dr.) Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu, CFR has commended the outstanding leadership of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR (Torungbuwa II), the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, as the maiden edition of Remo Day Celebration 2024 hits the home stretch.
In his congratulatory message, Sir Adebutu praised the Akarigbo for his exceptional ability to unite Remo sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, under a shared vision of cultural preservation and progress noting that he has had the privilege of working with the last three Akarigbos, each of whom was remarkable, but the current Akarigbo reign stands out for its inclusiveness, innovation, and determination to foster unity among all Remo people.
This was disclosed to the media crew of Remo Culture and Tourism e-Magazine when the team paid a visit to the private residence of the Balogun of Remoland, Sir. (Dr.) Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu, CFR at Ikoyi, Lagos on Tuesday, 24th December, 2024.
Reflecting on his role as the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF), the Odole-Oodu’a of the Source, Sir. Kesington Adebutu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the socio-economic development of Remoland. He highlighted the maiden edition of Remo Day 2024 as a transformative platform to celebrate Remo's rich cultural heritage and achievements while charting a path for future progress.
According to him, this is more than just a celebration; "it is an affirmation of our shared identity, resilience, and aspirations. I am deeply honored to be part of this journey, and I assure you of my unwavering commitment to its success", he stated.
Dr. Adebutu urged all Remo indigenes, regardless of their location, to support the event and collaborate towards building a formidable force for progress. "Our strength lies in our unity. Together, we can unlock the full potential of Remoland and create a brighter future for generations to come, he added passionately".
He also acknowledged the contributions of other stakeholders, including the private sector, community leaders, and the youth, emphasizing their critical roles in the success of the celebration.
The Balogun of Remoland, Dr. Adebutu concluded by calling on everyone to rally behind the Akarigbo and the vision of Remo Day 2024, which promises to be a historic celebration of cultural pride, unity, and economic progress.
Under the Akarigbo's exemplary leadership and with the collective efforts of all, Remoland is poised for unprecedented growth and recognition.
