End-of-Year Constituency Report: Hon. Segun Odunuga Kaka Delivers Dividends of Democracy and Spreads Christmas Sharing Over 20 million naira in Ifelodun Constituency.

 





As part of his commitment to transparency, inclusive leadership, and community welfare, Hon. Segun Odunuga Kaka, the representative of Ifelodun Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, hosted an end-of-year meeting with stakeholders. The gathering included representatives of royals, Baales, Olorituns, CDA executives, market leaders, artisans, transport unions, religious groups, youth representatives, security heads, Ômô Adugbos, Osugbos, and Erelus.


During the meeting, Hon. Kaka shared updates on his activities throughout the year and his dedication to delivering on his campaign promises. He outlined progress made in various sectors, including the grading of rural roads in Oke Erigba, Telepo, and Oru. He spoke about the Federal Government’s ₦800 million road project, which will see the construction of a 15km asphalted road with drainage from Aba Panu to Mamu Junction, assuring constituents of another similar project in the pipeline.


Hon. Kaka announced the collaboration with Waziri Tele Ogunjobi on the Ago Iwoye secondary road rehabilitation, where a ₦5 million contribution by Alhaji Tele Ogunjobi has been made to ensure work begins promptly. He also detailed the Isale Oru water project, a solar-powered borehole in Oke Erigba, and other water installations aimed at improving water supply. Additionally, he revealed plans to provide stable electricity through mini-grid power systems for villages such as Tekule, Eyin Etiri, Obada, and Aba Panu by January 2025.


The legislator also mentioned the provision of 100 solar-powered streetlights by Senator Olamilekan Yayi, which have been installed in key areas like Itamerin, Ajebo Oru, and the Major General Awosanya Market. To tackle flooding and enhance construction efficiency, he introduced a world-class drainage moulding machine to expedite the building of gutters where needed.


Hon. Kaka emphasized that many of these achievements were made possible by leveraging his connections and partnerships, stressing his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy. He assured constituents that his efforts so far were just the beginning, adding, “I’ve only been observing; the real work is about to begin.”


In the spirit of the festive season, Hon. Kaka also announced Christmas support worth over ₦20 million for his constituents. This gesture included provisions, empowerment initiatives, and community interventions aimed at spreading joy and alleviating economic burdens during the holiday season. He noted that the gesture was a reflection of his commitment to the well-being of the people, remarking, “This season is a time of giving, and I am determined to ensure that every household in Ifelodun feels the impact of my service.”


Stakeholders expressed their appreciation for Hon. Kaka’s impactful leadership. Hon. Mosun Oladipo, the APC Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, commended his developmental efforts and praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for supporting infrastructure, health, security, and empowerment initiatives in Ifelodun. Oloritun Ariya, speaking on behalf of the Ebumawe-in-Council, and Chief Soewu, representing community chiefs, lauded Hon. Kaka’s visionary leadership and prayed for his continued success.


The meeting concluded with prayers for Hon. Kaka, the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, and the continued peace and progress of Ifelodun Constituency.
